Should I abandon my credit card debt and just "run" from it?Q) I'm now $28,000+ in [unsecured] credit card debt and have had no viable income for almost two years. The finance charges are killing me. Applying for zero APR cards to transfer the very high balances, I got declined twice already. I cannot keep up payments any longer. My credit score is still good but already taking a beating. I'll never pay all this debt off. I've considered bankruptcy but don't want to do that. I hate to do it, but as a last resort I feel I have no other option but to "cut and run" from the creditors and just suffer the beating of my FICO score and risk going into collections and try bargaining with them later on (maybe pay pennies on the dollar?) I don't want to risk any possible repercussions such as getting sued by my creditors. I don't know what to do and I need some good advice. Please help me, thank you...
